I decided I would take the plunge and get myself a nice acrylic ball. I bought one online, and it arrived promptly, just waiting for me to hold it in my hands…
What follows is the story of my new acrylic ball and its first meeting with my older practice contact juggling ball.

So after hearing all the horror stories involving Xbox 360’s breaking down, and spending the past year and a half thinking these people had obviously done something wrong; my xbox dies. Did I do anything wrong? Well I was actually using it to play a game…I guess that classifies as “something wrong”.
My brother in law turned the Xbox on and started a game of Crackdown. He shouts for me to come look as something isn’t right. Sure enough, graphical glitches everywhere on screen…and then a nice black screen and a red flashing light.
So my reward for being a loyal Xbox customer since the launch of the 360? I now get to pay microsoft 168$CAD and wait patiently (a week and counting at this point) until they send my 360 back to me, or if they cannot repair it a “new” refurbished one.
Speaking to my friends since my Xbox has died, I have come to find out that all of there 360’s have also died, and in some cases multiple times!!! Do you find this normal? I sure as hell don’t! My original NES still works and was never repaired. My PS2 lasted over 5 years and never broke. My original Xbox lasted a good 4 years and never broke. I still have an original Game boy from 1989 that still works perfectly. Yet a 360 breaks after a year and a half?!?!?!
Let’s just say a PS3 is looking MIGHTY tempting right now, and if they had more then 2-3 games I actually would play…I’d have one sitting in my tv cabinet right now.
If you’re still debating between PS3, 360 and Wii, let me highly recommend the very affordable Wii. If Wii isn’t your style, buy a PS3 and stock up on old PS2 games you have yet to play. Hell anything is better then a 360 that will break after a few months of normal usage. If you think PS3 is too expensive, let me put it this way…PS3 will cost you 800$ after taxes. Add a cheap HDMI cable from Ebay and you’re up to about 820$. A 360 might cost you about 580$ after taxes…but then add another 168$ to that amount when your 360 breaks down right after the warranty expires. Still cheaper…but not by much…
Wake up Microsoft!
I wasn’t going to buy the new Pokémon game for DS… really!! I have a lot of other games I want to finish first and as any Pokéfan will tell you, those games suck up a lot of your time. So I told myself I would wait and eventually buy it. Then today I did the mistake of browsing the Best Buy website and noticing that if you buy Pokémon.. you get Spectrobes for free. Spectrobes is a Pokémon-ish game made by Disney. It got a lot of hype, and it got so-so reviews. I was interested in trying it out.. so one thing led to another and next thing you know I had both games in my hands… I swear it will never happen again!
One cool thing about Pokémon though is that with the online play, you can use the DS as a Voip phone. You can battle and chat at the same time, or just chat! I just have to level up some Pocket Monsters so that I have a good fighting team and then take on the world! So who out there wants to share their friend code? Anybody? *cricket sounds*

Here’s a couple of pictures I did the other day messing around with Photoshop and my camera.
I look so tired in this picture…
Booom! Just being silly.
I quite like this one.
My cousin Jacques.
I’ll post more pictures as I make them. I also have a picture of me which can be found at the bottom right corner of every page. I love Photoshop.

I found this document onlince called the Green Club Project. It had these rather easy instructions on making your own juggling clubs. Curious as I was, I bought the parts and tried to assemble one or two. I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. While they don’t look as sharp as store bought clubs, they spin well and cost barely nothing once all considered. I ended up making 4, and I plan on making 2 more, plus three mini sized clubs. I posted a couple of pictures (sorry about the crappy quality, I was too lazy to do a proper photoshoot), but the pictures really do not give it justice.

I was watching the latest episode of Bleach today and I realized that the opening and end credits changed. Although I prefer the previous opening credits, I was more than pleasantly surprised with the ending credits. The ending credits is not J-Pop. It is freaking ska! Japanese Ska!! All-female band Japanese Ska!!! That’s too freaking cool! I did a little research and discovered they are a band called OreSkaBand. I only heard a couple of songs, but I really like what I have heard. They were at SXSW this year, and I’m hoping they will play in eastern Canada one of these days. If I actually do as planned and visit Japan next year, I will be picking up their cds. I figured I should share some videos. Enjoy!

I saw Grindhouse last night. Awesome movies! I have to admit I did not have high hopes for the films until I saw the Thanksgiving trailer. I’m not the biggest Tarintino fan. I like his movies, but I don’t got nuts over him. Grindhouse consists of 2 movies with some fake trailers inbetween. It all fits very well together and equals a very fun time.
The first movie is a zombie flick directed by Robert Rodriguez. This is everything you’ve come to expect and love from zombie films. It is clichéd, but in a good way, often poking fun at the genre. Overall it is just a lot of fun, and I quite enjoyed all of it.
The second movie was directed by Quintin Tarintino. It starts off with a lot of talking.. so much that I heard people whispering how the movie was boring. I have to admit I found it kind of boring as well, especially after seeing the previous movie. It was very slow paced. Then the second half kicks in and wow… what an adrenaline rush. After seeing both movies it is just so hard to choose which one I prefer. Kurt Russell is great in his role here. He made me think a lot of Bruce Campbell.
My favourite parts would have to be the trailers though. They were hilarious, or over-the-top violent, or too crazy, etc. They were just loads of fun. You can easily find the Thanksgiving trailer (done by Eli Roth) on Youtube; just beware it is not safe for work.
If you were on the fence about seeing this, go see it, especially if you go with friends and are lucky to get a good cinema crowd. Grindhouse is loads of fun and I bloody reccomend it!
Update 2: Go Islanders! Yay! the Habs might not have made it, but neither has Toronto! I seriously don’t understand why supporters of the two teams hate each other..
Update: Argh! We lost! Tis a sad day indeed…
Ugh.. not looking good so far tonight.. got to keep hope!!
Funny because it is true!
Go Habs go!
