I’m not a big fan of rap and hip hop, but this song is quite addictive. There is a use of Daft’s Punk “Harder Better Faster Stronger” in the background, and it blends quite well. The video clip itself feels a lot like Akira, but overall is not that impressive. I like it just for the song. (although it does not beat the original)

I’ll be writing some mini reviews from Fantasia soon, but had to post this clip beforehand. In the documentary “The King of Kong”, you are introduced to several players, and one that stuck out was Mr. Awesome. These guys see themselves as superheroes, but Mr. Awesome just blows them away. Well, I finally did it! I did my first bungee jump today in Gatineau, Quebec at the Great Canadian Bungee. It is a 200ft drop and it is pure adrenaline and exhiliration.
Before jumping, some of us decided to do the RipRide, in which essentially you just glide down a 1000ft cable over the side of the cliff and over the water. I was surprised at how smooth the ride was and how beautiful the entire area was. As great as the feeling was, it was nothing compared to the actual buingee jump!
For the jump, I decided to dive forward with the ankle harness, but I decided not to enter the water. (My cousin had his entire torso in the water on the first fall.) As you stand on top, and you look down at the water below, your body gets all tensed up and you start wondering what the hell you are doing there. Then as they count down, you just let go and push off… Let me tell you that the first seconds of freefall are insane. All you hear is the wind rushing past your head and you see the water approaching really quickly. Then you feel some tension in the elastic and back up you go. Your body naturally turns around and you get to look at where you jumped from. Realizing how far up you were a couple of seconds ago, your enter a state of total relaxation. All the worries you had at the beginning simply dissapear and you congratulate yourself on taking that step into the void. I could have hanged upside down there for much longer. You feel so liberated and completely at peace. Then, as they descend you onto the boat waiting below, and you are brought back to shore, you just want to run back up that hill and jump down again.
I’m really happy I did this today and I plan on going again. I hear there are some crazy drops in Switzerland and Africa! And even if I don’t go jumping again, my next goal is to go skydiving! The higher the better!
